iCUE Spotlight: Sept. 28-Oct. 4, 2018

Take a look at the upcoming events on the . Anyone with an active OHIO ID can  that are sponsored by any OHIO planning unit or registered student organization.

So be sure to add your OHIO events, programs and deadlines to the CUE to help keep all members of our University community in the loop!

Here’s a look at a few upcoming events:

Friday, Sept. 28-30, all day, Athens Campus

The first family weekend of the school year is in honor of parents. All moms, dads, and family members are invited to join us for a few days to relax amidst the beauty of the 91Ƶ campus.

Friday, Sept. 28, 1 - 2 p.m., Alden Library 319

Wealth and Poverty Week on Action on Inequality – Berkeley Franz (Social Medicine) will present, “Clinical Care or Community Development: What Role Should Hospitals Play in Urban Neighborhoods?” The event is free and open to the public.

Friday, Sept. 28 - Saturday, Sept. 29, 7:30 - 10 p.m., Bird Arena

Come watch the OHIO Hockey Team battle John Carroll on the ice.

Friday, Sept. 28, 3 p.m. - Sunday, Sept. 30, 11:55 p.m., Athens Campus

Find out where you can park this weekend on the Athens Campus.

Friday, Sept. 28, 11 p.m., Hahne Theater, Kantner Hall

This week’s show, produced by MFA playwright Liv Matthews, considers the answers we find in our reflections and how we react to those answers.

Saturday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m. - noon, Walter International Education Center

The Office of Global Opportunities will be hosting an open house to showcase the study abroad and off-campus programs available to OHIO students and help to demystify the study away process. 

Monday, Oct. 1, 4:10 - 5 p.m., Clippinger Laboratories 194

The Chemistry & Biochemistry Colloquium Series presents Dr. Justin Holub, assistant professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, will be the speaker.

Tuesday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, Oct. 4, noon - 12:35 p.m., Bird Arena

Join the 91Ƶ Police Department and WellWorks for a lunchtime walk. Everyone is welcome to come get your steps in.

Wednesday, Oct. 3, noon - 1 p.m., Dublin Medical Education Building 1 (MEB1) 431 Learning Lab, 6775 Bobcat Way, Dublin, Ohio, 43016-8359

The presentation will originate from Cleveland but it will be through a Zoom presentation as the guest lecturer will be virtually presenting from the West coast. 

Thursday, Oct. 4, 1 - 6 p.m., Baker University Center Ballroom

1 p.m. - Bring your resume and network with recruiters in a traditional career fair layout. This event is for students enrolled in sport management only.

4:30 p.m. - Legends and the Dallas Cowboys welcome all students, employers, alumni and faculty to join the College of Business at a networking reception after the career fair. Access the full list of employers attending by viewing the fair in Handshake.

Thursday, Oct. 4, 8 p.m., Forum Theater, RTV Building

From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, a girl’s indoor soccer team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who want to score. The Wolves was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and an extraordinary debut play.
