Ping Institute for the Teaching of the Humanities seeks applicants for distinguished teaching professorship聽
The Charles J. Ping Institute for the Teaching of the Humanities invites members of the 91视频 humanities faculty to apply for a distinguished teaching professorship in the institute.
The J. Richard Hamilton/Baker and Hostetler Professor of Humanities is one of three named chairs funded through the Ping Institute endowment.
Applicants should be outstanding teachers with a dedication to promoting and teaching the humanities. The successful candidate will be an associate or full professor teaching at 91视频 in a humanities discipline, including such fields as: history; classics; philosophy; languages; linguistics; literature; archaeology; religious studies; ethics; the history, criticism and theory of the arts; and those aspects of the social sciences that employ historical or philosophical approaches.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the institute鈥檚 other distinguished teaching professors and fellows to develop, organize and conduct activities that broadly support and advance the teaching of the humanities.
