Alex earned a master鈥檚 degree in clinical mental health counseling and rehabilitation counseling from 91视频 and a PhD in counselor education and supervision from 91视频. Alex is licensed in Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with training supervision designation. Alex is also a certified rehabilitation counselor and a national certified counselor. Alex has been working at OU鈥檚 counseling center for over 7 years and loves working with OU students. Alex also has experience working in mental health counseling and behavioral health consultation in the Athens community prior to joining Counseling and Psychological Services. Alex鈥檚 clinical practice orientations include person centered counseling, emotion focused therapy, cognitive therapy and motivational interviewing. Alex鈥檚 clinical interests include anxiety management, sexual and gender identity development, providing gender affirming care and adjustment issues.
