The 91ÊÓƵ Well-Being Wing is a place where students can work on their mental, emotional, environmental, physical, social and spiritual well-being. Whether it's working with a well-being coach, meeting in the studio space to form small group connections or using the various amenities in the well-being suite, our Well-Being Wing offers a retreat for all wellness and recovery needs.

Facility Reservations
The Well-Being Studio and two rooms within the Well-Being Suite are available for reservation. To book these spaces, please contact: recreservations@ohio.edu. Please note: HydroMassage, CryoLounge, and RelaxSpace are not reservable at this time.

The Well-Being Studio is designed for small group programming and one-on-one connections. It provides a comfortable setting to foster personal and social well-being.

Well-Being Suite at Ping Recreation Center
The Well-Being Suite offers various types of equipment, instruments, arts and craft supplies, and other items that can be used for comfort and relaxation, muscle recovery, and to improve overall well-being. With so many options available, you are sure to find new tools to add into your well-being toolbox.

HydroMassage Chairs
These innovative water massage lounges offer personalized wellness and muscle recovery through heated waves targeting specific areas for a relaxing experience.
Available Units: There are currently two chairs available.
CryoLounge+
The CryoLounge+ provides targeted cold therapy (25-30°F) for soreness and aches, with complementary warmth (95-115°F) in other areas for comfort. This unique approach promotes holistic recovery, especially post-workout.
Available Units: There is currently one available.
RelaxSpace Wellness Pod
This pod is designed to reduce stress and enhance muscle recovery through guided imagery, soothing scents, and warmth, providing a serene environment for relaxation and mindfulness.
Available Units: There is one of these pods available.
Lightbox Therapy
Light therapy is scientifically proven to assist in treating Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), sleep disorders, and general depression, using 10,000 Lux light therapy devices.
Available Units: There are currently two light boxes accessible.
BioFeedback Therapy
Biofeedback utilizes non-invasive instruments to measure and help control involuntary bodily functions, promoting overall well-being by enabling individuals to manage their body's systems for improved health.
Music Based Experience
A selection of musical instruments, including a tongue drum and rain stick, promotes mental health through music and creative expression. There are iPads equipped with music-making apps and headphones are also available for use.
Art Based Experience
Featuring the Sisyphus Sand Table, which creates mesmerizing kinetic art designs, along with various arts and crafts supplies to inspire creativity and relaxation.
Weighted Blankets
Available for use in the Well-Being Wing to enhance comfort during visits.
Thrive Message Board
This community space encourages visitors to leave messages aligned with OHIO’s THRiVE well-being themes and goals, fostering social health and connection.
Comfortable Lounge Furniture
Patrons can enjoy the space while focusing on mental and social well-being. The furniture supports a calm and inviting environment.
Sustainable Features in Our Furniture - Steelcase Flex Perch Stools
Our seating solutions are part of a sustainability initiative that reduces reliance on fossil resources. Through a partnership with BASF, the Steelcase Flex Perch Stools are made from recycled materials, including waste from electronics production, contributing to a circular economy. These stools are 100% recyclable, promoting effective recycling practices and reducing environmental impact.
