Purchasing has been in contact with departments across the University regarding an increase in the instances of backordered items or orders not being filled due to vendor out of stock situations. As many of you are aware and may have experienced personally, there is large scale disruption in the world supply chain.
On July 13, 2021, three new fields were added to the Payments Dashboard: Minority Owned, Women Owned, and OU Supplier Type. The OU Supplier Type column indicates if the supplier is an Independent Contractor, EnergyCap supplier, or a FoodPro supplier. This column was also added to the PO Summary Dashboard.
In August, OIT replaced the current WorkForce time clocks across multiple campuses. The University is opting to replace these clocks for several reasons: they are nearing the end of their life span, they are prone to failure (the magnetic stripe reader is a common issue), the current model is no longer sold, and support is being phased out
FY21 financial activity has now been rolled forward. FY22 results should now be correct.

Please note: Purchasing Services is once again without a manager, in addition to several other vacant positions. Our processing times for RFPs, contracts, and service agreements will be impacted. The department has worked to cross-train existing staff to address backlogs and provide coverage during paid time off.
On August 27, 2021, Concur added a feature that allows users to edit multiple expense line items on an expense report. For those users who accessed the Concur system prior to 2019, you may recall this feature was available in the previous user interface and Concur’s removal of this feature was a big pain point.
Effective January 1, 2022, Gator Shredding will replace Shred-It as the preferred vendor for confidential shredding services at 91ÊÓƵ.
